Miketus Labs

Where we test ideas before launching them.

Miketus Labs is the innovation division of Miketus. We build prototypes, put them in the hands of real people and decide with evidence what reaches the market.

The path of an idea

  1. 01

    Idea

    A clear hypothesis

  2. 02

    Prototype

    Weeks, not months

  3. 03

    Beta

    Real people

  4. 04

    Launched

    Joins Miketus

With what we learned

Four stages and an honest exit.

No experiment stays half done. Either it moves to the next stage with evidence, or it gets archived with a note on what we learned.

  1. 01

    Idea

A problem that bothers us and a hypothesis. It only moves on if we can say who it helps.

  2. 02

    Prototype

The smallest thing that can be used. Built in weeks and used by us first.

  3. 03

    Beta

Opened to a small group. We measure whether they come back, listen to what's missing and fix it.

  4. 04

    Launched

Leaves Labs and joins Miketus with its own name, brand and support.

What didn't work counts too. We write down what we learned and free up the time.

Three technologies on the bench.

We don't publish projects until they reach beta. What we can share is what we're experimenting with.

  • Matter

The open standard that lets home devices talk to each other across brands.

    What we're testing

Integrating our own devices and automations without depending on one app per manufacturer.

  • LoRaWAN

Long-range, low-power networks for sensors that run for years on one battery.

    What we're testing

Sensors and coverage to measure things far from a power outlet and a Wi-Fi network.

  • Wallets

Digital cards and passes for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.

    What we're testing

Passes that update themselves: access, memberships and credentials.

Want to try what we're building?

We open betas to small groups. Tell us what you're interested in and we'll let you know when something is ready to use.
